***THIS IS AN GRASSROOTS EXPLORATORY EFFORT TO ORGANIZE THE SMUGGS COMMUNITY.

WE ARE NOT AFFILIATED IN ANY WAY WITH SMUGGLERS' NOTCH RESORT****

Recently there have been many chairlift, skintrack and parking lot grumblings about the future of Smuggs.

Initially some of us proposed forming a multi-stakeholder cooperative. Below is a definition of the concept:

"Multi-stakeholder cooperatives are co-ops that are owned and controlled by more than one type of membership class such as consumers, producers, workers, volunteers, or community supporters. Stakeholders can be individuals or organizations such as non-profits, businesses, government agencies, or even other cooperatives." -UW Center for Cooperatives

Coops are resilient and they strengthen our communities. There is already a strong sense of community and independence here at Smuggs...

Perhaps this effort could help galvanize a group of private investors, similar to recent events at Killington, that could partner with a cooperative effort.

If you are interested in being part of the conversation please fill out the form below and tell your friends and family! Once we have enough folks signed up there will be an in person meeting, hopefully this spring!

Join the flock!
